Holocaust

We're going to start this off right with a definition from our friends Merriam-Webster, Holocaust is "a sacrifice consumed by fire," "a thorough destruction involving extensive loss of life especially through fire," "a mass slaughter of people (also known as 'genocide,')" AND, drumroll please... "usually the Holocaust: the mass slaughter of European civilians and especially Jews by the Nazis during World War II." I'm not sure what they're teaching kids these days in school, I do hope they teach about Nazi Germany, and how the word Holocaust became, sadly, popularized because of the atrocities that happened to innocent people for just being different. We can go back like 60-70 years ago when Americans of African descent were fighting like hell to have their rights as AMERICAN CITIZENS. What happened to the American dream? Let's go back further, white folk came here on a boat, realized there was a brown skinned group of people who LIVED HERE, and we moved them around and slaughtered them, even those we've come to reference as Hispanic. C'mon, people, WAKE UP!

Nazi Germany was started because one fella believed that anyone different, like, Jewish individuals, Gypsies, Homosexuals, and so forth, needed to be wiped out. They were used as slaves, seen as lesser than human. Tortured, murdered, starved, degraded, and abused, all because they didn't fit a brown-haired, brown-eyed man's ideas that blonde-haired, blue-eyed people were the top tier humans. Protest? You'll be shot on sight. What the hell do you think is happening in this country right now? They're not just looking for illegal immigrants; they're looking for those with visas and legal to be here. They're tearing families a part, literally separating them, just like the Nazis did with Jewish families, leaving them wondering if they'll ever see them again. This isn't just getting rid of illegals, this is justifying hate and discrimination on an epic fucking scale. This is going to be humanitarians vs discriminatory individuals. This is good people being forced to hate on a profound level, because they're afraid...this is absurd! This is heartbreaking, and it's cold! NO ONE CARES!

I wonder if any of you know about McCarthyism. We can look at Britannica.com for a brief synopsis: "McCarthyism is part of the Red Scare period of American history in the late 1940s and 1950s. During that time, Wisconsin Senator Joseph McCarthy produced a series of investigations and hearings to expose supposed communist infiltration of various areas of the U.S. government. Other aspects of the Red Scare included the House Un-American Activities Committee and the Hollywood blacklist. The term McCarthyism has since become a byname for defamation of character or reputation by indiscriminate allegations on the basis of unsubstantiated charges." Now, you're probably more likely to have heard about the "Salem Witch Trials." If not, essentially, three girls ate something they shouldn't have, started having hallucinations, and began accusing people of witchcraft; the ultimate punishment was, well, death. Joseph McCarthy was accusing people of all walks of life with communism. Arthur Miller even wrote the play, "The Crucible," during this time which revisited the "Salem Witch Trials," as a reminder that "we've done this before, guys, probably not a good idea." This information I learned in school, and I can't give you any details as to the textbook because that was 24 years ago. People were being accused and put on trial for things they were not guilty of. So what is this whole nightmare going to amount to? Finger pointing, accusations, illegally ripping people from the lives they worked years to build! This, after going through all the measures to be able to build them here, in America. "The Home of the Free because of the Brave" doesn't mean beating down innocent people; it means that because of brave souls like Kennedy and Dr. King, people were able to live with equal rights.

This is how a holocaust/genocide starts, a "law?" enacted that is inhumane, filling biased and hateful assholes with this "power," who are SHOOTING PREGNANT WOMEN, for what? Do NOT say we've come far in our ability to love one another and integrate as a human race, we haven't learned a THING from history. We read it, pass a test, and then move on, believing that what is happening right now is "OK." This is NOT okay! Why did America show up in Germany during the Second World War? What the hell are we doing? OH, not to mention, we held Japanese individuals captive because it was Japanese pilots who bombed Pearl Harbor. "We just had to take precautionary measures," because we didn't know who was against us or with us. Those Japanese people who were citizens of America were here to have a better life. We paint a thing Gold, promise freedom and a beautiful life, then tell them they can't have it because their ENTIRE ETHNIC GROUP IS A SUSPECT. That was the Second World War as well, folks.

This is not a country that desires to create peace! This has become something that people like John F Kennedy tried to change. This has become the very principles that Martin Luther King fought against. We are not a Jesus-loving country, I'm sorry, this doesn't mirror, "love thy neighbor," at all. Did Congress, the House of Representatives, and Judicial branches give the okay for this? What happened to the reason that we have different sections of the government? The reason: to keep everyone from having too much power. A democracy? This is becoming a dictatorship, and if we're okay with that, then fine. Let's all continuously regress to that primitive backward thinking garbage that has kept this world up in arms, filled with hate, greed, and a "fuzzy feeling" when we tear people apart and kill each other.
